MASTER CLASSES

• All classes will be held at Interpretations Dance Academy at 101 Oakes Rd, Cleveland, OH 44147. Limited parking is available and overflow parking is directed to the recreation center across the street. Otherwise found parking may lead to towing.

• In-person sign-in and registration will be held in the lobby where limited seating is available. Snacks and water will be available for purchase in the lobby. Students may leave and return with a guardian for food and breaks. Please don’t be late for class!

FOOTAGE DINNER PARTY

• The footage dinner party will be hosted by Nico Rubio who will be sharing short clips from his private collection of tap masters past and present. He will teach about the history of the art form while inspiring viewers with footage showing what tap dance has done, most of which students today have never witnessed.

• All levels and ages are welcome.

• Pizza and beverages will be served to those with tickets and this will be an information watch party where you can enjoy food, ask questions, and discuss ideas and inspiration with friends.

RHYTHMICLE CONNECTED CONCERT & TAP JAM

• This full length concert will feature improvised solos from the master teachers as well as guest performances from RhythmiCLE Sound and Ohio Elite Tap Companies. A live jazz trio will accompany the artists and will assist with the tap jam following the show.

• Faculty will lead a class following the show teaching students how to understand the form of jazz music, how to work with jazz musicians, and become better improvisers with live musicians. Students will then have the opportunity to practice with the band.

OTHER DETAILS/COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

• The studio has three dedicated rooms with wood floors for tap dance.

• A lobby with bathrooms and a drinking fountain are available for students to put their things and for parents/guardians to wait.

• All classes will be shown on tvs in the lobby.

• Basic snacks and drinks will be available for cash purchase at the front desk (e.g. fruit snacks, chips, granola bars, water, etc.)

• Limited parking is available, please use overflow parking at rec center next door if no spaces are available.

• We ask that parents do not film classes and that students film after requesting permission from the master instructor. Some tap dancers may share current work that is on stage and do not wish for that material to be shared online. If you simply ask, many are happy to find something from the class for you to film to take home and practice and they appreciate being asked.
